A true renaissance woman, Emily’s eclectic performing background is rooted in movement. A member of The Boston Ballet and James Sewell Ballet companies, she toured the world performing roles in classical and new works. While dancing, Emily continued to work as an actor, model and vocalist, commercially and in regional theater.
Emily relocated to New York City from Minneapolis in 2010 to continue her career as a freelance actor and performer. She has worked in many theaters, including The Ordway Center in St. Paul, MN, The Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia and North Shore Music Theater. Since her move to NYC, Emily has appeared in two episodes of the hit HBO series Boardwalk Empire under the direction of Tim Van Patton with choreography by Patricia Birch, and on the TV Land awards dancing with Liza Minelli. Emily had the honor of helping create a new musical with Susan Stroman on a new musical by Ahrens and Flaherty at the Lincoln Center Theater in the workshop of The Little Dancer. Emily recently debuted on Broadway with the incredibly talented Hugh Jackman in his one man Broadway show Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway!
Inspired by classic comediennes Lucille Ball and Madeleine Kahn, Emily studies improv at The Peoples Improv Theater in NYC and recently completed her 3rd level long form class. She has also taken aerial classes at Xelias Circus School and stunt lessons with Tumblemonster Productions and continues to seek out opportunities to fly and fall down.
A member of Actors Equity Association, Emily currently resides Manhattan and is represented exclusively by McDonald Selznick Associates.
