michaelbrennanmusic.comMichael Brennan's music has been heard all over the world in various venues throughout the past several years. Beginning in 2008 he was asked by director Brian Burke to create the score to a new show entitled Voyage. Voyage premiered in 2008 in Shibuya in the heart of Tokyo. After much success with Voyage, Michael composed the score to to another show, entitled Treasure, which openend in March of 2009. Both shows played to sold out houses in Tokyo and were seen by thouseands of spectators.
Also in 2009, Michael began a working partnership with Choozi Entertainment, and director Christopher Childers. Together, they created a breathtaking spectacle for Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas. The show, Oasis of Dreams, opened in late 2009 to rave reviews and will run for years aboard the ship.
Also an accomplished composer for the theatre, Michael is working to bring several musicals to the stage with lyricist and book writer Mark Leydorf. Their first production is an adaptation of Alexander Payne's political satire CITIZEN RUTH. CITIZEN RUTH won Best New Musical at the prestigious 2009 New York International Fringe Festival. Other theatrical projects include THE FISHER KING, and Zola's NANA.
Finally, Michael has scored several animated film projects with Helpful Bear Productions in San Francisco. One of these projects, Riley's Rocket, can be seen here in the video section.
Michael is also an accomplished music director, having worked on such acclaimed productions as AVENUE Q, MAMMA MIA, THE LION KING, CINDERELLA, 42nd STREET, and VICTOR/VICTORIA. Michael is currently the music director for Franco Dragone's Le Reve at Wynn Las Vegas.
