--MSA ON TELEVISION--
Congratulations to the following dancers who are performing on America's Got Talent for the month of September: Lee Daniel, Cassidy Noblett, Rosanna Rizzuto, Ruthy Inchaustegui, Gina Starbuck, Lindsey Lancaster, Kristin Lorello, Britt Stewart, and Robert Lee. On the Results Shows, Lisa Byrnes not only danced in the Allstar performance, but she, along with Rachael Markarian, Jen Perry, and Danielle Acoff, danced in David Hasselhof's performance! Choreography client Tucker Barkley is the Assistant Choreographer on the show.MSA had an incredible showing of dancers at this year's Video Music Awards on MTV. Dancing with Lady Gaga was Mark Kanemura and Molly D'Amore; Dancing with Beyonce was Tracy Shibata, Stephanie Lee, Sarah Grooms, Erynn Turkovich and Maria Wada; Dancing with Taylor Swift was CJ Tyson and Matthew Serafini; And dancing in the special Michael Jackson Tribute with Janet Jackson, we had both Choreography and Dance Clients: Mia Michaels, Travis Payne, Wade Robson, Dave Scott, Jeri Slaughter, Chucky Klapow, Shannon Holtzapffel, Stephani Kammer, Rino Nakasone, Amanda Balen, Gilbert Saldivar, and Victor Rojas!
On the upcoming annual VH1 Diva's Live Concert, choreographed by Marguerite Derricks, you will see Zack Brazenas, Jason Williams, Loriel Hennington (also the Assistant Choreographer), Dominic Chaiduang, Katie Norman, Nick Lanzisera, and Becca Sweitzer. Dancing with Leona Lewis, in a piece choreographed by Jeri Slaughter, will be Stephanie Spanksi and Nadine Ellis.
Tracy Ulman's show (State of the Union) recently included the following MSA Dancers: Neena and Veena Bidasha, Katie and Matt Rustowicz, Marissa Gutierrez Rustowitz, Bryan Anthony, Kevin Stea, Michelle Elkin, Jerry Evans, and Stefan Raulston.
This year's Miss Universe with Heidi Montag featured dancers Melissa Garcia, Ruthy Inchaustegui, Loriel Hennington, and Laurel Thomson.
Congratulations to MSA Dancer Lamesha Vine who was recently hired to choreographer an episode of Parks and Recreation. The show airs on NBC and stars Amy Poehler! And, on an upcoming episode of CSI NY, you will see MSA B-Boys Legacy, Flea, and Steelo.
Christina Ginger assisted choreographer Sho-tyme on a recent episode of So You Think You Can Dance Canada.
--MSA ON FILM--
When he's not dancing, Victor Rojas has been assisting choreographer Tre Armstrong on an upcoming feature film titled Turn the Beat Around, featuring Davi Lorenzo as a dancer. Victor assisted Tre on an episode of So You Think You Can Dance Canada as well. Also on a feature film, Teresa Espinosa will be assisting on Beat the World. She and Davi will also be dancing in the film.
Aisha Francis has been chosen as part of the Skeleton Crew for the feature film Burlesque (set to be released in 2011, starring Cher and Christina Aguilera). Burlesque is choreographed by Denise Faye and co-choreographed by Joey Pizzi. JaQuel Knight is the Associate Choreographer on the film.
The upcoming Andy Fickman film You, Again (starring Sigourney Weaver and Kristen Bell) will feature choreography by Mary Ann Kellogg. Dancers in the film include MSA clients Gelsey Mahanes and Michael Pena (who is also the Assistant Choreographer). Congratulations to everyone involved!
A handful of MSA Clients will be taking part in an upcoming Disney animated film titled Gnomeo and Juliet. Congratulations to John Todd, Leslie Geldbach, Melissa Emrico, Kyle Hill and Mandy Moore.
Travis Wall is coaching Chace Crawford for his starring role on the upcoming remake of Footloose.
--MSA ON STAGE--
Congratulations to all the dancers who are involved in the upcoming Macy's Passport Charity Show. Rino Nakasone will be dancing with the Haru Juku Girls, in a segment choreographed by Kevin Maher. Other dancers include Gus Carr, Anthony Garza, Tucker Barkley, Shannon Beach, Laurel Thompson, Lauren Gottlieb, Seth Zibalese, and Hailey Ordanez.MSA Dancers Christina Glur, Julius Law, and Myke Dizon are currently dancing on tour with Miley Cyrus. Christina and Mike also performed on the Today Show with Miley. They, along with Julius Law, also danced in Miley's most recent music video. And Nancy Thornton is a dancer on the Metro Station Tour, which opens for Miley.
On the Britney Spears tour, MSA has Raistalla Moise and Tiana Brown; On Beyonce, Bryan Tanaka and Cassidy Noblett; MSA Client Sofia Toufa is a back-up singer on the upcoming Motely Crue Tour; Melissa Garcia is dancing on Paulina Rubio's upcoming promo tour; And finally, Stephanie Spanski and Jillian Schmitz are performing on the Mickey Avalon Tour.
In Las Vegas, several MSA Dancers are performing with Cher in Believe at Caesar's Palace, including Kevin Wilson, Mam Smith, Jackie Dowsett, Max Torandell, and Tovaris Wilson. The show is directed and choreographed by Doriana Sanchez.
Currently dancing in Ron Benise's show Benise The Spanish Guitar: Paul Barris, Kelley Parker, Julius Rubio, Arleen Hurtado, Pablo Pizano, Ruthy Inchaustegui, and Neena and Veena Bidasha. Also, singer Storm Lee was recently added to the cast of the show.
Congratulations to Annika Inhat and Britt Merrill who booked Amerie spot dates. They, along with Katie Orr, also booked an upcoming Amerie music video! Also, Michele Martinez will be featured on upcoming Dream spot dates.
MSA Dancers Dominique Kelley and Daniel Cruz will be dancing in the In the Heights Tour.
Memphis, currently being shown on Broadway, will feature dancers Vivian Nixon and Dionne Figgins.
Michael Waldrop will be dancing with the Odyssey Dance Company's Michael Jackson Tribute called Thriller.
TEACHING DEPARTMENT
Kimberly Wyatt (one of the members of the Pussycat Dolls) was the Ambassador at the UDO Street Jazz Championships in the UK. Kimberly was also recently featured in numerous magazines and newspapers during her press tour in London.
MSA Choreographers Marguerite Derricks and Sonya Tayeh, along with MSA Dance Crew The Groovaloos all interviewed with National and International Magazines. Additionally, The Groovaloos recent shows in LA and NYC were sponsored by Dickies.
New client JoJo Diggs is scheduled to teach an Internationl Dance Workshop in Japan. Leslie Scott continues to teach internationally. Currently, Leslie is touring Europe teaching various master classes.
